Hello! Welcome to the 2023 – 9th Nicholas Giving Tree Project- Holiday Care Packages for Children with Batten Disease!
This is our 9th year sending our holiday care packages to children with Batten Disease.
We will be sending them to 61 children all over the United States. This is the most children we have ever sent to and we are happy to give support in anyways we are able. We know these packages give the families a small amount of joy during a holiday that can be stressful caring for their critically ill children. These care packages included items the family would purchase anyways to care for their child such as new bed sheets, positioning pillows, cozy pajamas, toiletries, over the counter medications such as Tylenol and Advil, gift cards (so the family can purchase what they need to care for the child) and lots of love. We are thankful to continue to have so much support toward this project. In the past we have received many beautiful, handcrafted items to go into the packages such as kit hats, pillowcases, quilts, ornaments and holiday cards.
Deadline for donations: Friday November 24, 2023, Holiday Packages tentatively will be mailed on Monday November 27, 2023
How to sponsor a child (or children) with Batten Disease during the holiday season with a care package?
Send a check to Our Promise to Nicholas Foundation – PO Box 10106, Bedford, NH 03110. Please indicate in your memo of the check this is for the holiday care packages.
