This is our 9th year sending our holiday care packages to children with Batten Disease.
We sent them to over 50 children all over the United States. We know these packages give the families a small amount of joy during a holiday that can be stressful caring for their critically ill children. These care packages included items the family would purchase anyways to care for their child such as new bed sheets, positioning pillows, cozy pajamas, toiletries, over the counter medications such as Tylenol and Advil, gift cards (so the family can purchase what they need to care for the child) and lots of love. We are thankful to continue to have so much support toward this project. In the past we have received many beautiful, handcrafted items to go into the packages such as kit hats, pillowcases, quilts, ornaments and holiday cards.
