BDSRA Family Support Conference- July 12-14, 2024, St. Louis, MO
We had an amazing two days at “Camp Explorer” in the affected care room. On Friday morning, the children enjoyed playing with toys, games, and doing arts and crafts, and some kiddos watching/listening to movies in the quite room. Later that day, they were thrilled by a visit from a local therapy dog organization; the dogs were adorable, soft, and brought joy to everyone.
Thank you to Patricia Golden and her quilting gals of South Carolina. Made and donated 20 gorgeous quilts. We loved the quilts! Thank you to Theresa Judge of Southern NH and her Quilting gals who hand made 60 pillowcases for us to bring to the conference. We are blessed!
On Saturday morning, the fun continued with more playtime, and in the afternoon, we had a delightful session of singing led by a local music therapist. There were smiles all around throughout the entire three days of the conference. We extend our heartfelt thanks to sponsors of Our Promise to Nicholas Foundation and the Fore Batten Foundation toward the care room, which enabled us to hire a childcare agency to assist with the children. Special thanks also go to BDSRA for their additional support and for providing toys. Thank you to the conference families that let us borrow your toys.
