This will be our 9th year hosting the Nicholas Giving Tree Project- Holiday care packages for children with Batten Disease in the US. In the past we have mailed out between 50-75 holiday care packages. We hope this gives these families a small amount of joy during a holiday that can be stressful caring for their critically ill children. These small shoe box size care packages included items such as new bed sheets, neck pillows, cozy new pajamas, toiletries, gift cards (to purchase over the counter medications such as Tylenol/Advil or what they need to care for their child), holiday cards, holiday candy and lots of love.
